The event was held at the Uba Rooms, in High Street, and raised around £500 for the Teenage Cancer Trust. It was organized by Emma Hill, who lost her 18-year-old sister, Rebecca, from Moira, to osteosarcoma — a bone state which affects just 150 people a year — on March 12. Around 50 people attended the show which also integrated a raffle, auction and a boutique selling fashions from the show. A tattooist was also booking schedule for people to have one of around 30 particularly designed Teenage Cancer Trust tattoos with all the profits going to the charity. Miss Hill said: “I was a actually good night. We wanted to raise money and awareness for the charity as they have helped my family so much.
The group will be holding an additional fashion show at The Apollo, in Ashby, on June 25 with a Vivienne Westwood bag up for auction.
