Rachel Zoe’s “The Rachel Zoe Project” returns to Bravo next week. But while Zoe will be busy dressing stars akin to Anne Hathaway and Cameron Diaz on the show’s second season, the celebrity creator is also offering fall fashion tips for readers all over the place.
- On her preferred fall trend: “I think it’s a lot about remarkable tuxedo jackets, casual or dressy. Wearing them with t-shirts or just white button-ups, with an immense pair of jeans, and a pair of heels. I think that’s such a enormous look no matter what your age.”
- On her preferred current designers: “Too many to name. Bahman is amazing, Lanvin, Gucci was unbelievable this season, Marc Jacobs, Chanel is perfect. I love Phillip Lim. Phillip Lim is unbelievable.”
- On how to stay stylish on a budget: “I think the most excellent thing to do is to use your money wisely and buy pieces that aren’t gonna be out of style in 2 months. Take classic pieces and try to give them a little bit of a twist, like a cuff on a sleeve, or a collar on jacket or a ruffle on a shirt.”
- On the easiest way to update your look for fall: “Get an enormous coat or trench coat that you can throw on top of everything. A great leather jacket, brown or black or gray, that you can throw on top of all your looks or dresses. And you can always add leggings to anything.”
- On her advice before headline out the house: “I would have to say that you should always take a million photographs of yourself. With high flash, low flash, back light.. Make sure every viewpoint is flattering, nothing is sheer. It’s highly important. Sometimes what you look like in your bedroom mirror is very often not the real truth.”
