The new season is winning us at last; the shops have weeded out the residual string bikinis and wheeled in rows and racks of superbly warming winter gear. But it’s not only your clothes that change with the seasons, it’s your hair too, and we’ve cherry-picked our favorite looks from the catwalk for autumn/winter 2009.
Hair trends this season offer something for everyone. If you’re feeling courageous why not try a ’80s inspired up do, complete with crimping and backcombing as seen at Marc Jacobs. Not a fan of the ’80s? Then fear not, as Chloe showcased some of the most beautiful hair of the season with long, verdant flowing blonde locks in shades of ash, honey and caramel.
If you’re rocking fashion’s fierce girl look a la Alexander Wang then make sure your hair complements your look with the trend for healthy grime, created with raw, tough textures that will add a masculine edge to any style. Plus, it’s time to dig out your gel as girls at the Wang show were sent down the runway with slicked-back, wet-look crowns amalgamation into long, feminine lengths.
Plus, crimping is back with a retribution as seen at Erin Fetherston and Prada, but this might be one trend we’ll be giving a wide birth thanks very much, the recollections are still too aching. Finally accessories are still big news. Ranging from the simple kirby grasp to sexy, black leather bun bands, glittery animal masks, gobstopper-style hair pins and those now well-known Louis Vuitton bunny ears.
