Gareth Pugh’s New Collection

Not only will British designer Gareth Pugh show his collection for spring/summer 2010 on the Paris catwalks on 30th September during Paris Fashion week, but he will also be participating in M.A.C & Milk at New York fashion week this season – securing his first facade at the New York shows. The project, a partnership between M.A.C and Manhattan’s iconic Milk Studios in the city’s Meatpacking District has been owed as ‘ a truly incorporated collaboration between fashion and make-up artistry’ by M.A.C who have also signed up Proenza Schouler, Alexander Wang and now Pugh to collaborate.
The substitute show space will also be opened up to the public.
Pugh’s own role, a film directed by Ruth Hogben, will premiere to invited fashion press between 8pm and 10pm on Sunday night and will then be shown to the public between 10pm and 12 midnight. These guests will be invited through M.A.C’s Facebook page.
Pugh says the film will be a chance to ‘set the mood for (his) catwalk show,’ and that ‘it will represent the essence of what the show this season is about’, although its not a traile, its more of an theoretical insight’ he has revealed.
