Fledgling label Qasimi showed their fourth womenswear collection at the old sorting office in central London New oxford street to a much excited crowd including designer Jimmy Choo and fashion blogger Diane Pernet for the 25th anniversary of London Fashion week. Sending out their collection of goddess warrior like models armed with broad spiked vests and floaty dresses, they marched into the battle field of fashion week.
“It’s based on Byzantine women who have been woken up from a crypt and hauled on to the catwalk.”
Feminine strength was my driving force behind the strong structured shoulders.” the designer said being his theme for the show as the mens collection was very romantic and inspired how positive it is for men to be sensitive. Their latest collection has been quite a contrast from the February autumn winter show which featured Victorian Gothic-style clothes and now moved to a dramatic shiny and metallic Arabic theme. Known for their intricate detailing they used strong colours like dark petrol blue and tomato red really looked striking with gold studded dresses, cropped jackets and mini skirts.
