Women love their bags! They enjoy carrying a variety of bags that not only complement their outfits but that simply make them feel good. For many women, bags are the ultimate accessory and many women even collect them in a sense. However, sometimes things that we love aren’t always good for us. This can be true for some women’s bag. These much loved accessory items can cause unwanted health problems.

Sometimes shoulders can be affected but typically the back is the body part that is must abused by certain bags. The back pain stems from the amount of items being carried in the bag. However, selecting the appropriate bag design can help carry this more effectively relieving some of the weight placed upon the back.

If you want to purchase one of the larger bags that are fashionable these days, you can look for certain design features. Most women purchase these larger bags to accommodate all of the items that women must carry. Therefore, you can also expect to have a great deal of weight being placed upon the back. To better accommodate this weight, a large bag with wide shoulder straps can help reduce the impact of the bag. If your large bag has small, skinny spaghetti straps, then the straps will dig into your shoulder causing you pain. The wider straps are more successful at distributing the bags weight across your shoulder. This causes a reduced amount of strain and therefore less back pain.

Another thing to look at is the amount of straps. Some women’s bags have one strap while other styles will have two. The bags with two are more effective at distributing the bag’s weight across your body. However, if the purse has one long strap, this can also be helpful. These purses can be swung over the shoulder and carried in a diagonal across the body. The weight of the bag can then be distributed across your torso, eliminating back pain. Bag weight can also be influenced by material and embellishments. So, if you have back problems, avoid bags that are heavy to begin with before you even put any of your items in them.
